I’ve been a writer and digital media producer since 2016. Since that was 10 years and several genders ago, most of my work in that time was done as Annie Krabbenschmidt. Below are some of my areas of expertise. My very special secret sauce is and will always be in creating art and media that is grounded in a compelling narrative that is exploding with heart. I have advised and launched several podcasts in the last decade. In 2016, I created and co-hosted my podcast Love is a Softball Field, which ran for 5 season and amassed thousands of regular listeners.

As a production manager, I set my clients up for success by creating the infrastructure necessary to successfully record. I helped launch three audio-only podcasts between 2016 and 2021. This year, I have developed two video podcasts: The Janeé Show, with Janeé Lucas, and thespians.tv with Andre & Nova. Though there was a slight learning curve in making the pivot to video forward podcasting, I now have robust expertise in all stages of video podcast production, which means I can help you:

  • Create a top-to-bottom workflow protocol that takes you from planning to distribution

  • Create, configure, and oversee a recording studio and convert raw files into a video production file

  • Edit multicam footage into a compressed video file for YouTube and Spotify

  • Clip footage for social media and schedule posts

In addition to all the homemade (and charming!) web series that I have developed over the years, I have real technical expertise in narrative filmmaking. I EP’d a short film that landed on a distribution platform with 3.5 million subscribers. I am also currently EP’ing and directing (alongside my co-creator/co-EP/co-director, Nova Bradford) my own television show, THESPIANS. We just wrapped shooting on a six, half-hour-episode season which we created with a micro (micro!) budget and an ensemble cast of local performers. We are premiering our pilot this fall and will then pursue fundraising to help with finishing costs as we continue editing our episodes. In particular my strengths are in filming and editing, but over the course of this project I have overseen audio, lighting, G&E, personnel, casting, performers. Plus I make the sandwiches.

Above all else, I am a writer and storyteller working across many genres and mediums.

I have written three different pilots, multiple spec scripts, and co-wrote (with Nova! See above!) all six half-hour episodes of THESPIANS. When I previously lived in New York, I was a regular on stage at the Magnet Theater, where I did storytelling and improv. I have published and performed essays and poems, and a whole ass book! Nova and I have several short film scripts and stage plays in the works, and plan to continue producing our work as long as we can track down just enough resources to create something real. We love raw, honest storytelling and we’re going to find a way to bring our stories to life.
